Sony apologies for yesterday's outage, details on extensions for PS Plus, PS Now and Rentals to follow

Sony is to make up for yesterday’s extended PlayStation Network service interruption by not counting the day towards your PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now subscriptions. In addition, if you rented a movie or TV Show then those will extended too.

Sony took to twitter to confirm users will receive subscription extensions, and promised more details soon.

I dunno why they feel they have to do this - it was down 1 day at most. I didn't even realise it was down until I turned on the PS4 to see if the PSPlus titles had gone live.

I can understand it for rentals - like the PS Now and movies, but not just standard PS Plus subscriptions

It all depends on how much people play, and how long they sub for. Last year I was subbing on and off, for a month here and there. If people only put Monday nights into PS4 online gaming, then that is a week lost.

I was outraged! Didn't even know about this... It's a nice gesture I guess, makes up for their CS

Didn't bother me I didn't even know till I read this but I guess its more inconvenience than anything if you had a night planned of online slaughter :-) Nice gesture though.
