Update: The lead lighting developer on Star Wars Battlefront has said that there will be no new map in the January update for the game, although did suggest that we will see a free map in addition to the premium content at some point in the future.
Speaking on Twitter, Oscar Carlen said, "Sorry, but the January update does not contain a new map," later adding: "There were some misinformation so [the video] was taken down. It is still a great patch, I don't think you will be disappointed."
He also said, "January patch hype is strong. Manage your expectations please!"
Original: EA Brazil has released a new video in which the publisher talked about the upcoming free content for Star Wars Battlefront in more detail.
According to translation by Wccftech, new content includes a new map set on Tatooine and new outfits for Luke and Leia, while Private matches, daily challenges, and special community events may also be on the way.
It'd be great to get a new map and the other updated features for free, although there's still no word on the season pass DLC, but hopefully we'll hear more on that soon.
