Black Ops III, PS4 top U.S Charts for January

Call of Duty Black Ops III and PS4 were the top selling gaming products in the U.S for January.

There wasn’t a lot to challenge Activision’s title, after everyone choosing to release their big name titles over the Xmas period, so it was left to top the chart, followed by the likes of GTA V, NBA 2K16, Battlefront and Fallout.

U.S Software Charts: January

1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
2. Grand Theft Auto 5 (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
3. NBA 2K16 (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3)
4. Star Wars Battlefront 2015 (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
5. Fallout 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
6. Minecraft (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3)
7. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
8. Madden NFL 16 (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3)
9. LEGO Marvel Avengers (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS3, 3DS, Vita)
10. FIFA 16 (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3)

As you would expect, Sony was pleased to top the hardware chart, confirming that PS4 was the “top-selling platform and software sales leader in January”, recording “impressive year-over-year growth in both hardware and software sales”.
