HTC Vive, the first virtual reality headset from the HTC and Steam will release in the UK this April and will cost £689.
Pre-orders go live today at 3pm, although whether anyone will snap it up remains to be seen, especially with Oculus Rift coming in at £499 and Sony's PlayStation VR expected to be cheaper still.
There is a reason for the extra cost, since the HTC Vive kit contains the headset, two wireless controllers, plus two movement tracking and room scale sensors. In addition you will also get Fantastic Contraption, Job Simulator and Tilt Brush with it.
It seems some developers already have a preference, or at least they think they do.
