Nintendo Direct Round up: All the latest Nintendo games and announcements

Nintendo Direct took place last night and so there was quite a few announcements that you may want to know about.

First up was the announcement of Paper Mario: Colour Splash, which is coming to Wii U this year. It uses colour to bring the world back to life and looks pretty charming too.

Star Fox Zero also had a new trailer and it was revealed that it will come bundled with Miyamoto’s Project Guard.

There was a new Pokken Tournament trailer too.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE, formerly known as Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem was dated for June and there was also news of new updates for Wii U favourite Splatoon, which will arrive soon.

Super Mario Maker‘s also getting an update, adding in locked doors and spike columns.

Finally, Bandai Namco’s Lost Reavers was dated, with an open beta on April 14 and the full release on April 28. Here’s a trailer:

Both 3DS & Wii U will get the following titles:

- Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games for 3DS on March 18 and Wii U on June 24.
- Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Challenge

The 3DS meanwhile is getting a new Monster Hunter, known as Generations. Which is basically the new name for Monster Hunter X. There’s a trailer below.

Other news saw Kirby: Planet Robobot announced for June release, along with a new series of Amiibo.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force got a new trailer too, as seen below.

Disney Art Academy releases on 3DS on May 13 in North America and July 15 in Europe.

There are also free demos for Yokai Watch and Hyrule Warriors Legends available on the 3DS eShop now. 

Other news includes word of Hyrule Warriors Legends being supported by a four-drop DLC season pass including Medli from Wind Waker, a new trailer for Bravely Second: End Layer‘s April launch and a new title from Game Freak, the developer of Pokemon, known as Pocket Card Jockey.

The F2P game looks interesting and I'll be getting the SP for Hyrule Warriors - I wonder if they will be bringing it to the Wii U as well? I hope they do as the 3DS contains all DLC so far already so the DLC will be new! Can't wait. Also, the metroid game sounds a little less crappy as the sprt game is just a mini game, like FFX's blitzball I guess. Also, the paper mario game looks cool!
