The Japanese love Yakuza 4, so much so that they bought it more than any other PS3 game last year.
Siliconera reports that SEGA’s popular action game sold 577,199 units, which places it ahead of another big name, Gran Turismo 5, which managed to shift 563,378 units.
While these figures seem fairly impressive, its quite clear that its the handheld which dominates in Japan. The top game, with a whopping 3,849,907 sales was Capcom’s Monster Hunter Portable Third, while another handheld game, Pokémon Black and White wasn’t far behind.
The best selling Xbox 360 title was Monster Hunter Frontier with 138,596 sales.
