EA reveals upcoming release plans; Confirms Battlefront 2 for next year

EA revealed a lot of information regarding upcoming games during its latest financial call last night, letting is know that both Battlefield 1 and Titanfall will arrive between October and December this year, while we'll also likely see FIFA 17 this September.

Also, according to EA, more Star Wars Battlefront games are coming, with CFO Blake Jorgenson saying that the company is planning on releasing a Star Wars game at least once a year, with Battlefront 2 due next year and Visceral Games title action Star Wars title due in 2018.

Though very little details were shared on Battlefront 2, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen did confirm it will have "bigger and better worlds" and also feature content "from the new movies."

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be the first game to release for fiscal year 2017 on June 7 and this will be followed by FIFA 17, Madden 17 and NHL 17 between June and September.

EA is skipping a release for NBA Live this year and will instead release the latest game in the series sometime next year, when it will also release Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I'm guessing battlefront won't be as popular the second time round as people know to expect 1/2 a game with the rest via a season pass which is the same price as the game/more expensive. I recon they will put in space battles to try and pull in people who wanted that in the last one. Plus, I hope it's not 'battlefront 2' as, once again, we have that game out there. EA have a thing about calling things the same, nfs most wanted, battlefront, battlefield etc
