Try the Star Wars: Battlefront 'Outer Rim' DLC for free thanks to free trial weekend

EA has announced a free trial for Star Wars: Battlefront's 'Outer Rim' DLC this weekend, giving those who are yet to pick up the season pass a chance to play.

The free trial goes live tomorrow and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Downloading the trial will gain you access to all four maps, the new Extraction mode, and heroes Nien Nunb and Greedo, although Outer Rim-specific Hutt Contracts will not be available during the trial.

The trial ends on Sunday, May 15.

The next DLC due for Battlefront is Bespin, which is based on Cloud City.

I have not bought the Season pass for this, I may get it when it is on sale, which will probably be after most of the DLC has been released. The business model for this game is not cool.

To be fair EA always do a premium service as they do with battlefield except this star wars game also gets FREE dlc packs too, two have been released already with another on the way this month

This game was the worst example of thieving I have ever seen. Its amazing how some people cant see when they are being mugged off or just shut their eyes and ignore it. There is nothing fair about the way this game was sold so I didnt touch it like many others.

Lol and some people just hate on EA for the sake of it ... at launch you got 12 maps on 4 different planets with unbelievable visuals about 10 game modes online loads of vehicles weapons etc, offline co op survival mode and missions then with so far 3 dlc packs added another 4 maps weapons gadgets a game mode and contracts not to mention various other updates to the gameplay some people are just never happy oh and yes they do a season pass for even more extra content just like any other game out there does
