PS4K and Nintendo NX will finally be revealed at Tokyo Game Show, says latest report

PlayStation 4K and Nintendo NX will finally be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show this September, according to the latest rumours.

VRWorld suggests that Sony will announce the latest version of its PS4, before making it available for release in time for PlayStation VR. Sony has yet to confirm rumours of a new console, but it'd seem to make sense to announce PS4K at Tokyo Game Show as it means release would be a lot closer, therefore not slowing down PS4 sales while everyone waits on the new console.

Whether rumours of PS4K actually be a real thing are true or not remain to be seen, however with so much information out there, it seems almost certain that it is.

Sources at VRWorld also confirm that Nintendo NX will also be shown off in September, ahead of its expected release in 2017, although no further details have been revealed at this time.

I feel sorry for the millions of current PS4 owners that thought they were going to get the optimum PSVR experience. Then Sony announce PS4K. PSVR runs at 120Hz, the current PS4 is really going to struggle hitting anywhere near those frame rates at 1080p. Most PS4 owners i know are pretty annoyed about this. I think Sony are about to annoy a lot of their millions of users. So for a decent PSVR experience you will need to spend at least £800 (assuming the PS4K is £400 or less, and i'm betting it will be at least £500, based on current PS4 prices). Its not sounding as cheap anymore especially if you've already paid £400-£500 for the current PS4.

Plus you need a 4K TV, although they are cheaper than I thought, I thought they would cost £500-£1000, but spotted a 42" for about £250, and spotted a 3D + 4K TV for about £380, which is not bad. I bought a 40" 3D Tv last year, for about £350 and thought that was good, I wish I waited now.

you don't need a 4k tv. thats if you want to take advantage of the upscaling or the 4k video streaming/blurays. a 1080p TV will be fine, we will experience faster and smoother performance (possibly even better than people with 4k monitors as it wont need to be up-scaled)

@Jason - guessing you are an Xbox fan then? Complaining that Sony is bringing out a new console to meet the demand of modern gaming - yet on here you are saying you would rather MS bring out a new Xbox. Make your mind up....
