Capcom expects 100 million current gen consoles to sell by 2020

Capcom says that it is expecting sales of PS4 and Xbox One to reach 100 million units sold by 2020.

Speaking in its latest Financial results Q&A summary, the publisher said, "our perception of the home video game market is that it will continue to be active at the global level, as we believe the install base of major home video game consoles will break the 100 million unit mark in 2020."

With console sales currently around the 55 million mark and rumours of Nintendo NX being releasing in 2017 as well as new iterations of PS4 and Xbox One, it does seem like the 100 million estimate won't be too far off the mark.
