Take-Two has revealed that it's making a lot of money out of Rockstar's decision to release PS2 games on PS4, something that has long been evident from the monthly PSN charts.
"Our results benefited from strong growth in full game downloads, with over 20 per-cent of units for new gen consoles and over 90 per cent of units for PC delivered digitally," said Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick.
"In addition, it bears noting that approximately half of our catalogue sales for old gen consoles are being delivered through digital download. Digital distribution is disproportionately benefiting our catalogue, as it gives consumers the opportunity to buy older titles that no longer receive physical shelf space.
"In particular, Rockstar Games has been having tremendous success with their hit PlayStation 2 titles such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Bully, which are now available for download on the PlayStation 4, via the console's emulation technology."
Rockstar Games has three of the five highest selling games on the PlayStation 4 when it comes to the sales of PS2 games.
