Remedy is developing a new AAA IP and it is not being published by Microsoft, the developer has confirmed.
Apparently the developer has a "brand new partner" and will reveal more details on the game at a later date.
"We have to respect our partner and it's up to them to decide when they want to talk about the game," business director Johannnes Paloheimo, while also adding that it has another title in the early concept stage, which currently doesn't have a partner.
"We are constantly seeking and talking about business opportunities. It's a very long process, a very complicated one. Many, many stars need to align."
What is clear is that it is not an Alan Wake game, although they did add that, "If the right opportunity came along we would like to do more."
Remedy working with a new partner will please a lot of people, especially those hoping to see the developers games on a PlayStation. Whether this happens or not remains to be seen, although given that the developer likes to take its time to develop games it's likely we would see anything for a while.
