Bethesda's E3 press conference - All The News, All the Trailers
6 months ago
Bethesda had its press conference early in the morning, so if you didn't manage to stay awake, we have you covered with all the news and trailer, right here.
First of all, if you missed the conference you can watch it again here.
If you just want the news, then here we go.
First up, Quake Champions, a new arena-style shooter for PC, which will be focused on speed and performance, with graphics running at 120 Hz with an unlocked frame-rate.
With plans eSports, Bethedsa is betting big on this one.
Here's the trailer.
As far as Elder Scrolls goes, The Elder Scrolls Online get the Dark Brotherhood DLC on PS4 and Xbox One next Tuesday, and a new launch trailer for the console release is below.
Elder Scrolls Legends, Bethesda's mobile card card is also coming to PC.
As well as the usual modes such as arena and battle, you'll also get a story mode, which you can get a glimpse of in the video below.
Next up we were told that Fallout Shelter is coming to PC and although perhaps more importantly, Fallout 4 is getting new DLC, including the Contraptions Workshop DLC and another Workshop DLC pack which follows in July and gives players Vault-Tec assets to build their own vault. A larger DLC, known as Nuka World Amusement Park is also due to release in August.
Fallout 4 will also get Oculus Rift VR support in 2017.
One more thing. Skyrim Special Edition is real. The enhanced version of Skyrim will be released this October 28th for PS4 and Xbox One.
Arkane’s Harvey Smith was next on stage to reveal Prey. The game is in development at Arkane Austin. We are hoping it'll be as great as the title we saw in the past, although it does seem to be completely different from the Prey 2 we saw in the past, which was subsequently cancelled.
Still, the new Prey looks pretty fantastic, seeing you play as Morgan Yu, the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race.
It's coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2017 and we can't wait to find out more at Quakecon.
Id Software confirmed a new DOOM DLC pack as well as free content. The Unto The Evil DLC pack includes multiplayer maps, a new gun and armour, as well as a new playable demon called the Harvester.
DOOM is also going to support VR, although we don't know much about this at the moment.
If that's not enough, if you are yet to play DOOM yet then you can download and play the first level and try it for free for a limited time.
Dishonored 2 was the last shown and we saw a lot of it.
The game is set 15 years after the original and sees you play as Emily Kaldwin or Corvo.
Emily has some interesting powers, such as 'mesmerise' which allows her to focus enemies on a specific point and sneak by them unnoticed and also 'far reach', which lets her grab enemies and objects from distance and ‘Domino’, allows for multi-kills and stuns.
The game also takes advantage of the cities heights, so you can climb up to the rooftops and assassinate enemies from above.
Here's the official gameplay trailer.
So there we have it. What did you think of the Bethesda E3 press conference?
