Friday Chat: June 17

What are you plans for the weekend? We'll probably chill out and watch some football. Although who knows, maybe we'll squeeze a game or two in. There will definitely be some chocolate cake at some point too - just because.

So what about you?

Let's Chat!

I'm going to play South Park this weekend and possibly go back and plat Until Dawn. Also noticed last night that Psychonauts is on US/Canadian PSN's - may get that as I didn't realise it had actually come out yet

Just pre ordered Kick Off Revival, because i've been looking for another Kick Off game for years and that Dini Dini is my one of my gaming heroes. Will be playing some Space Run Galaxies when it releases today and have to say it's an excellent sequel and probably watch some football too mixed in with some work but it helps that i enjoy my job.

Probably a bit of everything for me this weekend. Bit of Destiny, bit of Earth Defense Force, some more Dangerous Golf and will give the Odin Sphere Demo a go. Then maybe make a start on South Park!

Xbox have a new site for the 'play anywhere' games and it has an FAQ and it answered a question in the way I thought they would but know that most people are gonna hate them for: "Are Xbox Play Anywhere games digital only or also disc games? ----- Xbox Play Anywhere only applies to digital games. Xbox Play Anywhere games can be purchased in the Xbox Store, the Windows Store, or via a digital code at participating retailers." - so basically any 'play anywhere' game is digital only and not disc based, so games like Gears 4 and Forza 3 probably wont have a retail disc version.

Had a feeling it would be that way otherwise people would be buying the disc for xbox to get in on pc then just selling them again.

Also does anyone know if the stick of truth for xbox/ps4 is censored like th 360/ps3 versions?

Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 should still be on disc, but you will only play on Xbox ONE. Play Anywhere only applies if bought digitally.

Regarding Stick of Truth censor, someone commented elsewhere "Only in the countries that were censored for the 360 release." so seems to be, although I would have thought that digitally the game would download from one source ie US version.

That makes no sense if the games come out physically as well tho. 1. You buy physical for Xbox one - no PC version. 2. You buy digital on Xbox and get digital PC version 3. You buy digital on PC for an inflated price and get Xbox digital version with it even if you don't own one. Where is the PC only cheaper option? Unless that's the steam thing, 90 days after release they come to steam for the cheaper PC only version? The issue with that is, what if you get it then get an Xbox one, you will have to buy it again for it to be in the deal, or if you buy physically on Xbox then decided it runs bad so want to run it on your PC; you will have to buy it again to allow PC access. I feel they should have stuck to digital only like the ps cross buy games and even how the faq sounds. I guess we will see when they come out but it seems messy the way it is being explained at the moment
