Dead Rising 4 is a timed exclusive to Xbox One for one year and Windows 10 for 90 days. *update*

Update: We've just learned that Dead Rising 4 is only exclusive to Windows 10 for 90 days. This means will likely see a Steam release soon after it arrives on Xbox and Windows 10 PC.

Original: Dead Rising 4 is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, but that doesn't mean that it won't be coming to PS4 and Steam too.

That's because it's been uncovered that ‘Dead Rising 4 is actually a timed exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, with Capcom saying “It will remain a Windows 10 exclusive for the first 90 days and console exclusive on Xbox One for one year.

“We’ve had a close and longstanding relationship with Capcom including the launch of Dead Rising as an Xbox 360 exclusive and Dead Rising 3 as an Xbox One exclusive. We’re thrilled to partner with Capcom once again to help bring their ambitious vision for Dead Rising 4 to life.”

Dead Rising 4 releases on PC and Xbox One on December 6.

I knew this was coming because it was one of the only games that didn't say 'Exclusive to Xbox and PC' - Shame its a year though - I'm sure people will lose interest/already own it on PC before it comes to PS4/NX

I hate things like this .. it was similar to when destiny came out and they had tons of extra content that we had to wait a full year for before it was released on Xbox which didn't help considering after 6 months there wasn't much content left to play

A year is as good as exclusive

Just like Tomb Raider, by the time it releases on PS4 I will no longer care. Luckily I have Xbox ONE also but this is unfair for PS4 owners & I prefer gaming on PS4 more.

Is this one of the 'buy on Xbox and get on PC free' or are they the 'exclusives' only? I can imagine the majority of PC players will wait for the Steam version now knowing it is only 3 months difference - I'll pick it up when its cheap on the PC (prob still wont be out on PS4 by the time it is 50-75% off on Steam)

Dead Rising has not been a reliable series on Playstation. Only Dead Rising 2 came to PS3, and then did not get the DLC. I would only get this on PS4 if they remastered 1-3 for PS4 (and Xbox ONE).

I'll just add it to my Steam wishlist then buy it when it goes on sale or from CDKeys.
