Electronic Arts has revealed that Criterion is no longer working on the extreme sports game that it revealed at E3 2014.
The Burnout and Need for Speed developer showed off a prototype title that looked liked it offered all the fun of Burnout Paradise, but with more vehicles, however it seems that the studio is now shifting focus to Star Wars.
"While they've moved on from the previous project they've spoken about and aren't pursuing it, they are continuing to build new ideas and experiment with new IP for EA, in addition to continuing to collaborate with other EA studios," an EA representative told GameSpot.
"Criterion is contributing to EA's Star Wars Battlefront VR game, while the studio also worked on the speeder bikes in the regular version of Battlefront."
So it seems Criterion are currently figuring out what to do next, all while helping out on Star Wars.
