Nintendo is releasing the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System this November


Nintendo has revealed the release of a new miniature NES called the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System. 

It's a replica of the classic console and will supports HDMI as well as coming loaded with 30 NES games pre-installed. You'll also get a new NES controller, a USB cable and an HDMI cable, all for around $60, and $10 for an extra controller. (no UK price known at this time).

The Mini NES Controller can be used to play Virtual Console NES games you own on the Wii or Wii U.

The Mini NES releases November 11 and the AC Power cable is sold separately.

Seems cute but a bit over priced I've a GPD XD which costs around £130 and I've 100's of free emulated games from zx spectrum to dreamcast and mame ect

seems very expensive imo. The pad looks like the fitting is the nunchuck port - so you would have to put it in the bottom of a wii-mote to use on a console as well. I't a shame they didn't open it up for downloadable games, although I'm guessing that if they did then it would be hacked to play any rom withing days!
