RIME gets a new publisher

Remember RIME, which was meant to release as a PS4 first party exclusive? Well, it's going multiplatform after finding a new publisher.

RIME was first announced in 2013 by Tequila Works and was to be published by Sony, however Tequila Works bought back the rights, allowing them to find a new publisher in Grey Box.

"We’ve always wanted RiME to captivate players' imaginations, capturing that feeling of being a child and experiencing the wonders of a bedtime story for the first time," said Raúl Rubio Munárriz, CEO & creative director of Tequila Works. "We’re so excited to find in Grey Box and Six Foot partners just as eager as we are to make that vision for such a personal project a reality."

More details about platforms and availability will be announced in 2017. Meaning that this game has been at least 5 years in the making.

I was just thinking about this game the other week. Hadn't heard anything about it since an Edge article a couple of years ago, I assumed it had lost in development hell and canned. So glad to see its still coming out...looks fantastic!
