Titanfall 2 single player campaign gets a sneak peak and some further details

Respawn and EA have released the single player trailer for Titanfall 2, as well as providing some new details on the campaign.

While the first game decided to skip having a campaign, the second title is going all in. In the campaign you play as Jack Cooper, a Militia rifleman who dreams of piloting his own Titan.

"At the beginning of Titanfall 2’s story, Jack realises this dream — under less-than-ideal circumstances. After their first encounter, players set out to locate a power source for an incapacitated BT-7274 (“BT,” for short). After finding and installing it, the pilot and machine form a neuro-link, at which point Jack is able to take control of BT and the game kicks off in earnest," says a post on the PlayStation Blog.

Respawn has took time to make sure it balances gameplay between pilot combat, Titan combat, and more environmental mobility-focused sequences. This will see Jack use jet pack boosts and wall-running techniques to navigate a chasm that would have been impossible for BT to pass or just pilot his Titan and cause all out destruction.

Titanfall 2 launches on 28th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It is mainly multiplayer focused, but it's still good to know that a lot of work has gone into bringing us a campaign too.

Ooh, I'm a sucker for backdrops with cascades in them, so I might just have to purchase this at some point ^0^ ^0^!! Looks like a cross between the first one and Far Cry 3; one of the main characters has the same glint-in-the-eye as Vaas does o_0 ^0^ ^0^!!
