Final Fantasy XV gets a new November 29 release date

Square Enix has today announced that the global release date for Final Fantasy XV will be November 29, 2016.

According to this publisher, this new release date will allow the development teams time to further polish and conduct quality testing so that the reality of the game can match the expectations of both the fans and the creative teams.

“From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this,” said Hajime Tabata the game director. “As the director and lead of this project, I wish to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want Final Fantasy XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding.”

heard about this last night with the image given to Gamestop people on how to put a sticker on the display to show the new date! I'm okay with this - cancelled the holidays I had booked and set them in November. Gives me a few months to save up the 195 quid for the collectors edition as well. I like how they are releasing with the patch included so its not yet another broken game with day one updates to try and fix it (no mans sky)

Square Enix do frustrate the life out of me... Personally this delay does not bother me that much, in fact I was even thinking about cancelling my pre-order all together but the issue I have with Square is that they never seem to focus on one or two projects at a time. They announce games at E3 etc years and years before they are due to be released and they end up having a huge stack of games to work on that they cannot meet deadlines for. I wish they would just stop announcing games and finish the ones they teased years ago. I am still baffled about FFVII remake being episodic.... lets face it, if it wasn't we wouldn't be playing that game for another 20 years knowing this developer.
