Details of the new PS4 Slim have emerged on the internet, after videos leaking the console being unboxed were shown earlier in the week.
According to twitter user shortmaneighty2, who was amongst the first to get hold of the new console, no new features or resolution options seem to be obvious. He also states that the new console doesn't appear to have firmware 4.0, so perhaps it's possible that these features have not been activated? We'll need to wait on see on that one.
In addition to the above, we are also told that the console runs “unbelievably” cool and quiet and that the triggers and buttons on the new DualShock 4 feel more solid with better materials, something that should please a lot of people.
Sticking with the controller, he says that the light bar seen in many photos shining through the top of the touchpad doesn’t have a light of its own, instead it’s just a see-through strip that lets the light shine through from its current position.
Even though the battery is the same as the one used in the current DualShock 4, apparently it appears to be running very well, remaining on two bars even after 24 hours.
Currently CEX is selling the PS4 Slim for £380, although that's just stock that is in the wild ahead of the official release. We expect the PS4 Slim to sell for anywhere between £199 and £250, although that is just speculation on our part.
