Buying this for MW remaster only.......Period ,the best game by far and hasn't been beaten since, what i think some 9 years later is open to debate but without this remaster i don't think it would have sold much based on the new game itself.

They will release it on PSN/XBLA, just not day one and they wont mention it - they want people to but the expensive version first before it gets released. They wont of spent all that money remastering it for only a small amount of people to play it - plus it will probably be a digital code in the box anyway, doubt it will be on disk

Space age COD is bollocks. If this never had COD4 Remaster it would fail. Ill be getting COD4 but I wont be a moron and pay 70 quid for it ill wait till its stand alone

Wouldn't say we were actually Morons mate because we choose not to wait for a so called stand alone MW digital or retail disk. Activision won't release MW this year as a stand alone, because if they did there would be an uproar making people buy the expensive editions

its not the brightest to spend 70 quid on a 20 quid game to get it a few weeks early but each to their own. Ive waited 8 years for it i can a further 6-10 weeks after launch or whatever to get it at the right price and not allow them to fist me. especially for a remaster its not even a new product and even then its got half the maps its pathetic and I would say its moronic to pay 70 quid for half a remaster not trying to be offensive but its a scam

Activision just like EA are greedy corporations willing to milk every penny out of gamers like myself and many others, some buy into the scam, some remain on the fence, only the fact that to me Modern Warfare was the best in the Cod Series by far have a chosen to take the plunge,Activision could have released MW Remaster as a stand alone product but they didn't,won't to know why, firstly its like you point out exploitation of the highest order to milk a little bit more out of gamers, and the second reason,it would have out sold the main game and that would have been a total embarrassment for all those at Activision,MW for me redefined the FPS and even now its yet to be beaten some 8/9 years down the line,my only gripe is been another 8/9 years older i may not feel as blown away as i did the first time i played it,plus i must have played that game for the next 2 years on and of most nights, since then i struggle to play any online game for much more than 2 weeks and quickly move on to other single player games

Yes its such a shame these companies treat fans so badly by ripping them off at every opportunity. It must be the worst industry in the world for unscrupulus behaviour, from releasing know broken games to just stealing peoples money like COD are doing. Thats why Im making a stand it might be small and insignificant but the more people that buy into these practises the more it will continue. I understand peoples excitement forsomething thy love and plunge in but they shouldnt be in such a poisition

Jason if everybody bought into your idea then i for one would backtrack and do exactly what you are doing, problem is some people not me included have a never ending supply of money and don't care one little bit,i mean I'm looking forward to The last Guardian finally getting a release in October, but look at the price of the special edition on here which is around £110 for some stupid extras that most won't care about,i don't buy any special edition that include some plastic toy or booklet, key ring, sound track ect ect. If we could get peoples power and every gamer point blankly refused to buy into this product such as the special editions of Cod i for one would join the gang and refuse, but because its such a few in comparison its not going to make any difference I'm afraid, they have dangled a very big carrot with this Infinite warfare and unfortunately i have bought into this for MW only, normally i buy basic editions of games unless it offers something that is game related and is essential for the gaming experience and thats not some stupid sound track or toy figurine,on a personal level and i don't know about how you feel,I'm extremely disappointed by this generation of games, constant HD remakes and little else to hold the attention, plus the same game release schedule, nothing all summer then you need a really fat wallet come the Autumn period,if your into VR [Im Not] and if they announce the Neo Finally Sep 6th at the conference its going to be a really expensive period.

@trancematic - I agree it part with what you said - but only in reference to this game - they have remastered a game they know people want and have said its 'not coming out on its own' even though we all know it will eventually. But in doing so, you have to buy the expensive version to get it - that's wrong. However, other collectors editions are fine - Personally I buy the most expensive CE of Watchdogs, AC, Far Cry etc... every year - I love the extras you get and I'm happy supporting the product as they haven't let me down yet - The difference with them though is if you get the regular version at £30 then you can usually buy the in-game stuff day one as well - the CE is mainly for the physical extras. Its like saying you have to buy a £80 quid version of Fifa to play as a certain team and if you don't then there is no way of playing as this team ever again - I just hope other comanies don't follow this - There isn't even a version with physical items like usual like a camera or RC buggy!
