Firewatch hits Xbox One on September 21

Firewatch will launch for Xbox One on September 21, developer Campo Santo has announced.

The game, which tells the tale of Henry, a fire lookout who discovers mysterious goings on within a national forest, originally launched on the PS4 back in February.

Critics and players lauded the game for its fantastic art style and laid back gameplay and in this latest version you'll also get a new Audio Tour (also a free update for all other owners) which blends scavenger hunt, museum tour, dev workshop with inside Campo Santo videos.

In addition, there will also be a new  free-roam mode first on Xbox One. In the new mode you can explore with a full day/night cycle and find as many secrets as you can muster.

Played a bit of this on a mates console. Couldn't get into it, was as boring as everyone's gone to the rapture - I didn't get that far though, maybe it gets better later on?
