PS4 Pro Specs confirmed

The specs of the PS4 Pro have been confirmed and they make it the most powerful console around at the moment.

Sony's new console includes 8GB of GDDR5 Memory, an 8 core x86-64 AMD Jaguar CPU and a 1TB HDD. The console also includes a GPU which runs at 4.20 TFlops on a AMD Radeon based graphics engine.

We also see that it has 3 x 3.1 USB ports and supports 1080p Share Play.

The PS4 does have a Blu-Ray drive and it has been said that it's possible Sony could easily upgrade this to 4K via a firmware update, although that's not been confirmed and indeed Andrew House confirmed that for now the focus is on games.

Check out the full stats and a few other pictures below.

so Microsoft upgrade the Xbox one to a 2TB console Yet Sony do not learn their lesson and stick with 500GB and 1TB what a bloody joke I will stick with what I've already got I am not paying another £350 for the same console thank you very much

The slim prices are not good, was expecting it to be about £200 with no 4k and minus optical out. The Xbox ONE S is more value for money, but the pro is a nice price, got it preordered, now to make sure I have enough money for it within 2 months, then also buy multiplat games on PS4, over the next year, then see what the scorpio costs.

Personally i don't think we heard the last of the new range of Sony Consoles, there is no way on Earth that come next November or Holiday season as they call it in the USA Sony are going to let themselves be trumped by Microsoft and the much more powerful Xbox Scorpio, people want the console with the better grunt and more power and max resolutions,i really think Microsoft Shocked Sony at E3 and Sony was already way into development with there Pro and there was no way to change it,its going to be a Giant bombshell if Sony do decide to go head to head against the Scorpio and release another console 14 months down the line, imagine all those gamers that have just forked out for Pro and 14 months later Sony give us something even more kick arse than the Scorpio, its just my personal opinion and obviously it will all be about who has the better game on the system, something Sony has owned since the Playstation 4. i also think Sony would have taken about this Pro in June of this year at E3 but Microsoft seriously surprised them. Unless they can seriously upgrade the pro later next year and have some amazing exclusives they have to make another console to compete against the Scorpio or else Microsoft is going to once again rule the console market just as they did with the 360 Even though it hadn't got the power of the Playstation 3,games generally ran better and looked better and playstation 3 games generally were not on par with the 360 counterpart.

They have got amazing exclusives though (They have exclusives....) - Personally, I still think the 5.5tf version is still on the cards to be created, although, they could easily tweak that to make it more than the Scorpio number-wise. However, in the next 12 months if Sony gets more users and the existing fanbase to upgrade they don't have to worry because I don't see people flocking to the Scorpio with all their games on Ps4. It might just be me, but power isn't everything, its all about the games.

I agree mate,no matter how much power you got if you haven't got some really nice looking games and plus a fair few exclusive to your platform then your in trouble.
