Watch PS4 Pro footage for Rise of the Tomb Raider

We've already brought you the PS4 Pro footage for Horizon Zero Dawn and now we have some for Rise of the Tomb Raider, which will be ready for PS4 Pro as soon as the system releases.

Once more, you'll need to watch this on a 4K HDR TV for best effect, so once you do, make sure to let us know what you think.

Here's the gameplay.

With having this on Xbox was not going to get this, at least straight away, but as it is Pro enhanced, I will be.

Looks nice but looks a bit jerky (unless thats just the footage) - they have a 1080/60 locked framerate supposedly (according to people there last night). Would be cool if they had a PC style settings so you can turn things on and off to adjust quality over performance

It looks OK to me. I am quite content with 1080p/60fps upscaled to 4K rather than be true 4K and stuck at 30fps, like Scorpio sounds to be, and happy with it only costing £349. If this was £2000 I would not be impressed at all. Scorpio is more powerful but unnecessary too much and not powerful enough to give an an awesom 4K experience, plus will probably cost a bomb. With xbox games being on PC I am contemplating just building a PC capable of 4K at 60fps, then can have true 4k gaming now than next year, but that depends on if the PC play anywhere ports can do that, games like Quantum Break does not seem to. Either that and just wait and see with reviews and decide in 2018, but I know that the Pro is worth it right now, so getting it.

Basically Rise of the Tomb raider has 3 modes according to those who went last night. 1. Same quality as the PS4 but running at 1080/60 - 2. HDR, Higher resolution textures, lighting and other visual effects running at 1080/30 - 3. 4k textures on a 'above 1080' resolution then upscaled to 4k with HDR running at 4k/30. Would be nice if all the games had options like this so instead of people moaning about quality over performance, you can pick what you want - like in the Nioh demo
