Pokémon games are coming to Nintendo NX

Pokémon Company executive Tsunekazu Ishihara has confirmed that Pokemon Games are coming to the Nintendo NX.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Ishihara said, "The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device," adding, "We will make games for the NX."

According to MCV, the new Pokémon will be developed by Game Freak, the development studio behind the main handheld titles. Pokémon Sun and Moon are the next games to release, so it's unclear when exactly we would see a new Pokémon game, unless of course Sun and Moon will also release on the NX at launch. Wouldn't that be something?

Nintendo's NX will be available March 2017 and hopefully we'll soon get official word of what form the console actually takes.

Its about time they just announced the NX. People need time to plan/save for the consoles and games they want and with VR and all these high end consoles coming out people are about to start digging deep into their pockets to pay for it all. - Just tell us what it is! :)

I imagine the first few games will be a battle arena - like the old Pokemon Stadiums - I can't see them putting Moon and Sun on it as that will take away from the sales of the game on 3DS (and people will moan because they bought it on 3DS a few months earlier). I would like a full-on 3d pokemon, but I doubt we will ever get one of those.
