Thats what i was thinking,i hate all this having to wait for codes then go to other websites to fill in another form for the beta, then they give you another code for the playstation network, dam stupid, should be in the hands of the retailers and the retailers should just send you the beta code like on most occasions,i mean how does the call of duty site even know that i have pre/ordered of here, unless the code sent by shopto confirms that.

If you pre-order and redeem the code, can you then cancel said pre-order in the event you didn't enjoy the 'beta'... which lets face it isn't a beta, but a demo.

@tolu - when you order ther eis a 'view code' on the order page, if you click view you have to accept that you can no longer cancel - ATM it does it with Mafia 3 as well as you get a 2 month NowTV pass (I've not clicked to view it yet as I'm not sure if i'm gonna buy it day 1 yet). There are 'ways' around it, but technically, if you get the code, you can't cancel.

Your not obliged to pay for any game because you got a beta code

@Jason - it all depends on what the publishers have said, a few places now get you to pay up front and if you redeem anything then the order can't be cancelled. I know its silly because its a Beta, but it was the same with things like FF14. Chances are it will be a free-for-all beta once it hits the other platforms anyway like they have done in the past. COD are being a bit silly though - only get beta if you pre-order, only get Modern Warfare if you buy the deluxe...
