Fated gets a price drop ahead of PlayStation VR launch

Canadian independent developer Frima Studio today announced that its Norse-themed storytelling experience and movie-length narrative-adventure, Fated: The Silent Oath, will be moving to a new lower price point across all VR platforms including PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

“We listened to the feedback we got from the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive launches and felt that because Fated is a movie-length narrative-adventure this pricing accurately reflects that storytelling experience,” said Vincent Martel, Executive Producer at Frima Studio. “We are excited to be launching Fated for PlayStation VR and look forward to connecting with a whole new community of fans”.

Fated is available now at 9.99/£6.99/€9.99 and will launch for PlayStation VR on October 13.

if its only good for 1 playthrough, and they admit this - is it even worth the new price as well?

Same reason you would buy any film/movie I guess @Turniplord but you can't be inside a movie after all, from a first person perspective. I think the new price is good.

I thought it was okay until I looked on Steam and found out its only part 1, that's when the price looked iffy. I wonder how much it was before the drop though? At least they listened to people saying it was overpriced and did something about it - Don't see any other companies doing that

Speaking of launch titles, where are they? Shopto's selection is pretty sparse, I know a more then a few getting physical releases on the 13th and you don't have them for pre-order yet...10 days before release?
