Deus EX: Mankind Divided updated with PS4 Pro and HDR Support

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been updated with a new patch, meaning that the game now supports PS4 Pro and HDR for Xbox One S and PS4.

Here’s what the patch includes:

New Features

- HDR support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S
- PlayStation 4 Pro support

Various Bug Fixes for the Following Issues

- Crash during the shooting range tutorial
- After talking to Vega, a freeze would occur when the player left the poor District, after seeing Miller first
- Koller’s fate after completing All in the Family, if the player spared Gallois
- Exiting a tutorial during a flashbang\typhoon effect would cause the flashbang\typhoon effect to stay on screen permanently
- Rarely, the hallway leading to Talos Rucker’s room would not stream in after reaching the top of the elevator
- Saving on the base build while NPCs are in search state and updating to day one patch, would cause the NPCs to search forever on that save

New Breach Content and Features

- Avatar customization (possibility to change the appearance of the Ripper in-game)
Overworld Map
- New Santeau Corporation (New Maps and Darknet file)
- New UI for avatar customization
- New items: Premium Ripper Skins (2)
- New item: Premium weapon (1)

Now this sounds like hardcore mode: Saving on the base build while NPCs are in search state and updating to day one patch, would cause the NPCs to search forever on that save

So I have a 4K HDR Sony TV And Xbox One S, I played Salt Movie with Angelina Jolie which is 4K HDR. As soon as the blu ray loads it goes into HDR Mode and the screen is very dark ??? is that how its suppose to be ? also tried deus ex mankind divided which now has hdr support same thing dark screen image and in normal game mode the picture ??? any thoughts ? is hdr all about dark images to be honest i dont see any difference just darker image ?

@Yasin - read on a few sites that HDR really only looks decent in a dark room - if you have lights on or sunlight then its too dim to take full advantage. But then on the same page they watched the Olympics in 4k on the telly and it was very bright - so it seems you should be able to set it up, maybe take a look at the guide Joe put on here a few weeks ago on how to set up the HDR on your Xbox/TV?

also, are you using a HDMI 2.0 cable?

@Turnip thx for the reply man. Ive been using the hdmi cable that came with the ps4 originally. Im gonna try later and switch with the xbox one s hdmi cable. When i turn on hdr mode from deus ex mankind divideds video option it does switch to hdr mode on my sony tv picture mode is set to hdr video so im guessing it is working , the same thing with xbox one s and im assuming the cable microsoft provided with the xbox one s should be proper 4k hdr compliant and the same thing happens with the 4k hdr salt blu ray.

the olympics were probably 4k and not hdr so thats why probably looked bright bit dissapointed with my first foray into hdr gaming

Its probably your settings if the film does it as well. Eurogamer reported the same with Forza, that it appeared to be dull and not pop as much, but that was supposedly because they hadn't configured it properly. Or, if your TV is an early HDR, maybe its the TV? gain, when I ggogled last night there were a few threads saying different TVs have different results and because its a new tech pretty much then not all TVs have got it right yet.

maybe it's the PS4 as it can not do true Hdr it needs hdmi 2.0 to be good enough

I was thinking that Assassin, but he said the same thing happens on his Xbox one S playing the 4k bluray - thats why I think its the setup that may need tweaking
