Ubisoft has today made an official announcement regarding the recently teased Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, which will reach an important milestone in the franchise as it brings Ezio’s adventures to an end.
Revelations visits the life of Ezio, the star of both Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood, one final time as he walks in the footsteps of Altaïr on a “journey of discovery and revelation”. The story will take Ezio to the heart of the Ottoman Empire, Constantinople (Or Istanbul as it’s now known).
The latest installment will see the return of Multiplayer, with more maps, modes and characters than before. The game will also feature “revolutionary gameplay” which will give players the opportunity to “manipulate the construct of Desmond’s memories and the Animus to decipher the mysteries of his past and gain insight into the future.”
Ubisoft have said that the game will provide “the most immersive experience” we’ve seen from the series so far and some “significant surprises” that will please fans of the series, when it launches on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this November. Expect to hear and see lots more about this at E3, which starts in June.
The game will also appear on the cover of Game Informer‘s June issue and the magazine has already confirmed that not only Ezio but also Altaïr and Desmond will be playable, in one way or another, during the game’s story.
