It appears this morning that Eidos are the latest games company to be attacked by hackers. Both the public site for the company itself and the site for up coming game Deus Ex Revolution have been hacked on Wednesday.
In a report from KrebsOnSecurity, among the information that has been stolen is roughly 9000 resumes as well as personal data from 80,000 users of the sites. There is also a rumour that some code has been stolen as well, while it seems unlikely that it is anything but code to do with the websites, there is evidence that KrebsOnSecurity have collected from the alleged culprits chat logs that they are thinking of leaking something called ‘src’. This could point to a source code of the Deus Ex game, but that has not been confirmed.
Currently, the culprits of the attack are thought to be members from the ‘hacktivist’ group Anonymous, or at least members of the splinter group that turned on the main body earlier this week.
