The first details for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics have arrive, along with some new screens.
ONM has published the details revealing five of the events on show in the 3DS version which includes:
1000m Kayak – You have to move the Circle pad around in a clockwise direction as quickly as possible to finish first.
Breaststroke – This is all about breathing as you don’t actually do any swimming. Instead you have to breathe into the microphone when your swimmer pops his head out of the water. Time it right and you’ll win the race, get it wrong and you’ll slow down.
Judo – A two-player event. You have to press buttons as they appear in screen in order to take your opponent down.
Race Walk – This is a rhythm action game. Music plays and you have to swipe the stylus across the screen in time with the music to get to the finish line first.
Balance Beam – Not shown here, but this event uses the gyro sensor. You have to move your 3DS left and right to keep your balance on the beam. Occasionally you’ll have to move it as instructed on screen in order to pull off a move.
These are 50 events and 20 venues within the game, although ONM says the events on the 3DS version will be shorter than those in the Wii version.
