Call of Duty: Elite website launched, beta applications go live

Following the recent announcement of Call of Duty: Elite, a social network based around Call of Duty’s multiplayer experience, Activision have started taking beta applications, through the service’s official website.

To register your name all you have to do is head over to the site and enter your e-mail address and date of birth before choosing your preferred platform; Xbox, Playstation or Steam.

The service’s closed beta will begin later in the summer and those accepted into the program will be notified by e-mail, with further instructions on how to take part.

The service will expand the multiplayer experience that the Call of Duty franchise has to offer by allowing players to connect with one another easier than ever before, share and view player stats and participate in tournaments which will offer both virtual and real word prizes.

There’s no pricing or release date for the service as of yet, but you can expect to hear more about it, as well as Modern Warfare 3 at E3.
