Recieved this game yesterday (thanks to shopto's excellent early dispatch!) and spent a good 3 hours playing it, I was extremely hooked.

Even though an open world environment isn't that new in gaming anymore, it hasn't been done in FPS games that much and this game implements it so well. As an open world game it is the standard affair of talking to people for missions to do, which you recieve money for. You use this money to buy upgrades and new weapons/ammo. The map itself is huge but vehicles are easy to come across.

Its the little things that make this game more wonderful than a typical FPS, such as weapons jamming, buddies helping you when you die, watching fire spread when you set a bit of dry grass alight (I watched an entire airport go up in flames over the course of 2/3 minutes by blowing up some barrels), fixing your vehicle when its been wrecked, and so on.

Combined with great visuals, a really great setting, interesting enough story and a low low price, you'd be hard pressed to find a better game than this for now. I haven't even got as far as the multiplayer and map editor yet, but the single player in this game has already made it worth while. Plus I'd say theres at least 25 hours worth of play from what I've done so far.

Just pre-ordered, videos of this game look good, enjoyed far cry and crysis, look forward to the new african setting, glad to get of that island, recently purchased a high spec pc , so should be good to go....i will review latter..
