FIFA 13
FIFA 13 captures all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football.
Five game-changing innovations revolutionize artificial intelligence, dribbling, ball control and physical play to create a true battle for possession across the entire pitch, deliver freedom and creativity in attack, and capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football.
All-new Attacking Intelligence infuses players with the most sophisticated artificial intelligence ever achieved. Players have the ability to analyse space, work harder and smarter to break down the defence, and think two plays ahead. Now every touch matters with the most comprehensive and intuitive dribbling system ever developed for the franchise. Inspired by the world?s best player, Lionel Messi, Complete Dribbling enables players to face their opponent and use precise dribble touches combined with true 360 mobility with the ball, so it's easier to be more creative and dangerous in 1v1 opportunities. FIFA 13 1st Touch Control transforms the way players control the ball, eliminating near-perfect touch for every player on the pitch, and creating more opportunities for defenders to win back possession. The second generation of the Player Impact Engine expands physical play from just collisions to off-the-ball battles between players. Defenders can push and pull for position, and utilise their size and strength to force opponents into poor touches and decisions before the ball arrives. FIFA 13 Tactical Free Kicks provides the tools to create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks. Position up to three players over the ball and utilise dummy runs and more passing options to outwit your opponent.
FIFA 13 with Kinect enables you to use voice commands to manage your club's line-up and tactics without pausing the game, shout directions on the pitch in Be A Pro, and forces you to temper the way you talk to officials.
FIFA 13 delivers the largest and deepest set of game-changing features in the history of the franchise. Additional features and new modes will be revealed in the months ahead.
Key Features:
Attacking Intelligence. All-new positioning intelligence infuses attacking players with the ability to analyse plays, and to better position themselves to create new attacking opportunities. Players will work harder and smarter to break down defences, make runs that pull defenders out of position, and open passing channels for teammates. Plus, players possess an off-the-ball vision and the ability to think two plays ahead to create, curve, or alter runs to capitalize on openings as they occur.
Complete Dribbling Make every touch matter with complete control of the ball. Take on defenders with the freedom to be more creative in attack. Players are more explosive accelerating with the ball, and utilise precise dribble touches with true 360? mobility with the ball while facing a defender. Face an opponent to threaten attack while moving with the ball in any direction to dodge tackles, or turn and shield the ball, maintaining position, and holding off defenders for longer stretches.
FIFA 13 1st Touch Control A new system eliminates near-perfect control for every player by creating uncertainty when receiving difficult balls. Poor passes are harder to control, enabling defenders to capitalize on errant balls and poor touches. Factors such as defensive pressure, trajectory of the ball, and velocity of the pass all factor into a player?s success. Players with better control and skill stand out. Fewer perfect touches, the potential to over hit passes, more opportunity for loose balls, and greater balance between defending and attacking.
Player Impact Engine The second generation of the award-winning physics engine expands physical play from just collisions to off-the-ball battles, giving defenders more tools to win back possession. Defenders can use their body to win possession, push and pull for position, and utilise their size and strength to force opponents into poor touches and decisions before the ball arrives.
FIFA 13 Tactical Free Kicks Create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks. Position up to three attacking players over the ball and confuse opponents with dummy runs, more passing options, and more elaborate free kicks. Opponents can counter by adding or subtracting players to the wall, creeping the wall forward, or sending a bullet man to intercept the pass or block the shot.
New Passes Two new passing options give players the ability to finesse passes over the outstretched leg of a defender or play lower trajectory lofted through balls into space or to team mates.
FIFA 13 Fundamentals Essential elements have been refined to make the experience more authentic. Referees will now make better decisions awarding fouls and cards, goalkeeper intelligence has been improved, and Tactical Defending has added lateral mobility for players in defensive containment. Plus, new animations have been developed for off-balance shots, 180? shots, and celebrations.
? Complete Authenticity?Over 500 officially licensed clubs and more than 15,000 players.
FIFA 13 with Kinect enables you to use voice commands to manage your club's lineup and tactics without pausing the game, shout directions on the pitch in Be A Pro, and forces you to temper the way you talk to officials:
Voice Commands: Administer your squad the way real-world managers organise their clubs during a match. Use voice commands to instantly activate tactics, change formations, or initiate substitutions, and enjoy the strategic advantage of managing your club without pausing the game.
Pitch Commands: Think, react and play like a professional footballer utilising voice commands on the pitch in Be A Pro mode. Shout for a pass, send a teammate on a run or call for a shot the way real footballers communicate on the pitch.
Referee Feedback: Referees and linesmen are influenced by what they hear. Coarse language directed towards an official may be mentioned by commentators or influence a referee's strictness and decision-making around fouls and bookings, the same way it does in real life. Plus, story lines will develop in Career Mode when players and managers let their emotions get the better of them.
It can take some getting used to and might even prove frustrating at first, but when you reap the rewards of a defensive mistake, or are forced to boot the ball into touch with an attacker looming, it fulfils its goal of adding an air of unpredictability. Occasional improbable touches suggest that the feature is in need of a little fine-tuning, but the same was true of last year's impact engine. Speaking of which, the physics engine introduced in FIFA 12 has been dramatically improved, ensuring that comical collisions are largely a thing of the past.
The on-field visuals have also been upgraded, making FIFA 13 the prettiest football game of all time. Sprites are bigger, the animation is slicker and the grass is greener, unless you're playing at a waterlogged Ivy Lane, of course.
Despite recycling many of last year's background comments and team descriptions, the commentary also continues to impress. Martin Tyler and Alan Smith return as the main team, while Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend handle cup competitions. Even Geoff Shreeves makes an appearance, offering an insight into injuries before the game restarts with a drop ball, while Alan McInally delivers live score updates.
While it's debatable whether FIFA 13 outperforms PES 2013 on the pitch, it most definitely scores an extra goal or two off it. EA Canada has packed the title with an almost overwhelming number of modes and extras, making it difficult to decide where to start.
Match Day, for example, enables users to keep up with the football season as it unfolds in real time, increasing form players' attributes and taking into account team morale. Play as high-flying Arsenal, for example - a team scoring goals for fun and keeping clean sheets - and you'll notice a stat increase for the influential Cazorla and the recently formidable Gervinho. Quite how long these stat boosts will last - especially after Gervinho's many misses against Man City - is anybody's guess, however.
The Xbox 360 version also utilises Kinect, without shoehorning in motion controls for the sake of it. Kinect is used exclusively for voice commands, enabling users to bark orders and motivational phrases at the team, as well as make substitutions, call for the ball as a Virtual Pro and even swear at referees, something which draws criticism from the commentary team. Some of the commands, in particular the substitutions, are slightly over-complicated, but they largely make for a smoother experience.
Outside of these new features, FIFA 13 still packs in the excellent Ultimate Team mode, which remains as addictive (and expensive) as ever, as well as tournaments - which are a little slow-moving when simulating other results - and Manager and individual player modes. There's also a detailed hub, which allows players to track their stats, see where their supported club stands on the global leaderboards and buy items. While Electronic Arts may come under fire for withholding content in other games, there's no danger of that in FIFA 13.
When the teams hit the field and the game kicks off, there's little to choose between FIFA 13 and the latest PES. A wealth of online and offline game modes and a rich supply of extras, however, ensures that FIFA 13 picks up another trophy in the most closely contested virtual football season to date. Like a Manchester United team chasing its 20th league title or Gareth Bale charging at a frightened right back, EA Canada is showing no signs of slowing down in its pursuit of the perfect football sim.
the matchmaking is still not fixed as you dont get anyone that is roughly at the same level as yourself. me and my friends just played a club match in division 6 yet we were beat 5 1 and yet the club we played was in division 4 i dont get what the point is of the league system is if your not gonna get clubs that in your own division and yet any problems you put on ea forum they dont answer and the gamerface has a bug on it you put it in game and ur pro goes orange to delete you have to delete your settings in the game menu and ur gamerface online to make ur pro go back to normal.
i was disappointed after i got the game as the demo looked and played well now its like ea dont wanna sort anything out or focus on online game modes they always talk more about carrer mode when people play pro clubs ultimate team and head to head more then carrer so fifa may aswell be a offline game if anything to end this review i will not be buying fifa 14.
