We have had a plethora of new Modern Warfare news over these past few days. From e-Sports to new features, we’re going to cover all the talking points in this article! If you missed our last article in which we took a look at the Launch Trailer for Modern Warfare, you can check it out here and without any further ado, lets investigate the latest COD news! Ok so, first up we have the Call of Duty League news which has been rolling in over the past week or so. If you’re familiar with COD e-Sports, youll know that the main competition used to be known as the COD World League. This has been changed to the COD League for the 2020 season onwards and it has also switch to a location-based system which sees major cities gain their own teams for the competition. Our nearest team is London who are rumoured to be called London Royal Ravens, interesting name but I don’t think its to bad. Their team isn’t the greatest but hopefully they can perform in the league this year. Activision announced that there will be pro-am style competitions throughout the year to let amateur players make a name for themselves which is pretty cool. The overall prize pool for CDL is around $6 Million which is pretty good in my opinion.

Moving on from the CDL we also got news of the game’s system requirements for PC and there are some staggering numbers in there. Recommended specs are an i5 2500k/Ryzen R5 1600x and a GTX 970/1660/RX 580. Now these aren’t that surprising given that the game is on a new engine this year but, when you see that the minimum storage requirement is 175GB, that’s when questions are starting to be asked. I knew that the install would be big but 175 is ridiculous especially given that most players are still playing on 500gb systems. I'm actually pretty annoyed about this as that means I essentially have to dedicate 1/5 of my HDD to COD. This also means that the initial install is going to be huge which will mean I have to wait even longer before playing! The final bit of news comes in the form of the Spec-ops trailer which unfortunately, doesn’t give us much of an insight as to how the mode will work. It shows plenty of gameplay and action including a few teasers as to what we can expect in terms of story. This mode will be playable across all platforms on launch with the small survival section being exclusive to PS4 for a year. The trailer is pretty cool but I’m still waiting to see how these mission/modes will work, I guess we’re going to have to wait until launch for that! Check out the trailer below:
