FIFA 20 Career Mode Changes Detailed
| 2019-08-07

The next stage of the ongoing FIFA 20 reveals dropped earlier today as EA detailed changes coming to Career mode! This mode is in desperate need of some changes/additions and unlike some of the other information revealed regarding the game so far, it’s actually really positive and I’m looking forward to experiencing it! So then, what’s changing? Well the first change comes in the form of Manager customization, a feature that should have really been in the game already considering that it is already in Pro Clubs and Player Career. Moving onto what is probably the biggest change we find that Player Morale is coming to the game. This is something that should fundamentally change the way Career Mode plays as you will need to keep players happy in order for them to perform to their full potential. Player Morale will be affected by play time, performance, wage demands, the new and improved press conference system and player conversations which are also debuting this year. Press conferences are now a lot more in depth and come with a cutscene, similar to how transfer dealings currently look. Player conversations allow you to have a 1 on 1 chat with a player to discuss a number of things. This looks like a good addition and the outcome of these chats also effects the bigger Player Morale system. Aside from morale, there are also a few other smaller changes including a unique story aspect to the mode which should make the experience feel different every time and also, the addition of live screenshots from matches you play also seek to make the experience more authentic. The final major change sees the ever important Player Potential system evolve slightly as players now have a dynamic potential as opposed to a fixed one which appears to make the game a lot more fresh as opposed to grinding through young players and binning them off when they reach their max potential. Check out some screenshots of some of the changes below:

So then, career mode seems to be getting a lot of love from EA, perhaps Pro Clubs will get this kind of treatment next year? We can only hope!
