After small pieces of news surrounding Nintendo’s latest fitness device emerged online last week, we now have a load of information about it and some trailers to boot! So, what is this new innovation? Well it’s a little odd, it comes in the form of a Ring which works in tandem with the Switch’s Joy-Cons to track movement and activity. This device, named the Rong-con (yes, it’s a pretty silly name but I rate it to be honest) comes with an additional Leg Strap and can be used to play a new game titled Ring Fit Adventure. The game combines fitness/physical activity with traditional action adventure style gameplay. It’s an interesting concept and it looks like it had been executed pretty well. You will find yourself running on the spot to navigate the world and performing a number of actions with the Ring-con to take out enemies. It looks like good fun and I can see this mode being pretty successful. It doesn’t end there though as there are a number of exercises built into the game which are more like what we saw from Wii Fit whilst we also get a series of fun mini games which work on targeted muscle groups to give you a decent work out. I like the combination of games with fitness but I also like that they have also included some raw fitness modes too. Check out the rather interesting video below:

Whilst it looks like another weird Nintendo accessory, I actually think its going to be pretty cool, especially considering the price I can see people of all ages, the world over getting into this game!
