ShopTo Blog Gaming Discussion 16/09/19 – The Hype Continues!
| 2019-09-16

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend! The end of last week was pretty mad as I got to play not one highly anticipated shooter, but two! Yes, as I'm sure you all expected, I put a fair amount of time into the Modern Warfare Beta and I came out the other side of the first weekend feeling pretty positive as a whole. My full thoughts on the Beta will be going live during the week so make sure to keep an eye out for those. Borderlands 3 also dropped on Friday of course and due to having plans and trying to get the most out of COD, I haven’t played it as much as I would have liked. I do have several days free during the week which I have pretty much dedicated to playing the game though so don’t worry, our review will be pretty detailed and cover quite a lot of the game. So that’s two big articles you have to look forward to before even more big games begin to drop at the end of this week. FIFA 20 releases on EA Access this Wednesday with a 10 hour trial before dropping properly next week, Links Awakening is also out this Friday and so too is the Switch lite! Another huge week lays ahead then and we’re going to have plenty of content for you guys!

Discussion Topic: How do you prioritize games?

Georges Answer: This is a tough one for me as I am notoriously bad for doing this. Ill make a list, (as I did at the start of the summer) and then never get round to playing games at the end of said list as ill randomly revisit an old game or decide to start playing something else. This of course sint helped by the fact that some many big games drop around the same time and as I play COD and Fifa for pretty much the whole cycle, ill tend to just hop on one of those instead of playing a new game or returning to something I reviewed.

Out This Week

Nintendo Switch Lite – September 20th

Dedicated to handheld play, the Nintendo Switch Lite is the console for gamers on the go.

Nintendo Switch Lite is a compact, lightweight addition to the Nintendo Switch family, with integrated controls.

Nintendo Switch Lite supports all Nintendo Switch software that can be played in handheld mode. It’s great for people who have lots of opportunities to play outside, and also for anyone who wants to play online or local wireless multiplayer with friends or family who already own a flagship Nintendo Switch console.

The Legend Of Zelda: Links Awakening – Switch Exclusive – September 20th

Link has washed ashore on a mysterious island with strange and colourful inhabitants. To escape the island, Link must collect magical instruments across the land and awaken the Wind Fish.

Explore a reimagined Koholint Island that’s been faithfully rebuilt in a brand-new art style that will entice fans and newcomers alike. Battle enemies as you conquer numerous dungeons and uncover the hidden secrets of the island. Encounter Super Mario enemies like Goombas, Piranha Plants, and more, and interact with unique locals who help Link on his adventure.

As you clear dungeons throughout the main story, earn dungeon rooms (Chambers), then arrange them into custom layouts in the all-new Chamber Dungeon. Place your dungeon entrance, Nightmare room, and everything in between as you try to fullfil objectives and play through a new dungeon. Tap compatible amiibo figures to earn more Chambers and additional Chambers throughout the game in updated mini-games, such as the river rapids, trendy game, and fishing.

There we go then, plenty to talk about, a load of articles to come and two huge Nintendo releases dropping on Friday, what an exciting week! We will of course keep you up to date with all the gaming news as it drops as well so make sure to keep it ShopTo to stay in the loop. Have a great week everyone!

Game Pass games usually take priority, to play before they leave, ones that I would like to play through and maybe complete fully once but not play again. If there are games that I enjoy playing over and over in Game Pass, then I will be happy to buy when they leave. Following game pass games, I usually then try and play my disc based games that I might sell, to make room for more games. Games before PS3 and Xbox 360 rarely get played these days, as I usually like playing and getting trophies and achievements, and also play the online games from PS3 and Xbox 360 before they shut down. If a game has a limited timed event that I am interested in, then this would then take top priority.
