Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend! Its been a bit chilly these past few days and as I managed to finish my last assignment on Friday, I've actually had some time to play games! I spent a few hours on Rocket League on Friday night, followed by a bit of Fortnite and a lot of FIFA. I was tempted to get back into some of the single player games I've had to put on pause but I had to resist as I knew it would be a slippery slope and I would end up getting anything done! Anyway, there wasn’t much in the way of gaming news last week so apologies for the lack of articles, I’m hoping we should get something to talk about this week and we will of course have coverage of Mario Bros U Deluxe when it launches on Friday. Our UK Chart series also returns today after a week off so make sure to keep an eye out for that and of course, FIFA 19 Team of the Year kicks off at 6pm too so I will also have an article discussing all the details from what is probably the second biggest FIFA promo of the year. These next few days will see me play some more Pokemon Go, prepping for the community day this Saturday, FIFA, as I try to pack a TOTY item (wish me luck) and probably some more Smash Bros as I’m really into it at the moment!

Discussion: Do you think we will see next gen consoles this year?

Georges answer: I do actually think we will, I’m not sure if they will launch in 2019 but I think we will definitely hear about them! I also wouldn’t be surprised to hear about a hardware revision for the Switch seen as that is approaching its second anniversary, maybe not a performance boost but perhaps a slimmer system with a bigger screen? I can’t see them upping the resolution just yet, I would expect to see that in a few more years.
