Yesterday was Sunday, the sun has risen on a new day which must mean that its Monday? What was that one thing I had noted in my calendar for Monday? Ah yes, its chart time! Yes, another week has flown by and its once again time to take a look at how the UK Gaming Chart shapes up for week 38! With some huge releases last week, it’s all up for grabs so without any further ado, lets get straight into it! The winner of the battle of new shooters is Borderlands 3 which storms to the top spot in its first week. It really is an amazing game from what I've seen so far, and it doesn’t surprise me at all that it beat Gears to the top spot. Speaking of Gears 5, second place is where we find it! Of course, the majority of players will have grabbed this through Game Pass especially seen as that Game Pass Ultimate deal crossed over with the Gears 5 launch. I was really surprised when I played the game as I didn’t think I would like it but its actually really good! Moving down to third and we find yet another new release in PES 2020 which has also been going down well with fans apparently. With more licenses than ever, it appears that they really want to take it to FIFA this year. Fourth place is where we find our first returning game and its NBA 2K20 which topped last week’s list, it sounds like 2K have fixed most of the issues people were having with the game now which is great. Fifth place goes to another new entry, Greedfall which I don’t know much about, but it must be decent to sell that well! Sixth place is occupied by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with last weeks second place title, Spyro Reignited dropping all the way to seventh this week. GTA 5 re-enters the top 10 in eighth with Crash Team racing and Mario Maker 2 in ninth and tenth respectively. Check out the full top 40 below:
