UK Gaming Chart Week 47 19/11/19
| 2019-11-19

With some gargantuan releases last week, we should be in for a massive chart this week! Unfortunately, I’m thinking that this will be the last big chart of the year as there aren’t many more releases to come so let us sit back and enjoy this awesome gaming chart! Topping the charts this week we of course have Pokémon Sword! The better of the two games top’s the chart as I’m sure we all expected. I have been playing Sword over the weekend and I've completely fallen in love with it (review soon) and if you have a Switch, there is no reason why you shouldn’t go and grab a copy! Moving down to second place we find Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which has been very well received by critics and gamers as a whole. This is great as it should hopefully mean that we get more Star Wars games, and also more single player games too! Moving down to third we find the other Pokémon title, Shield! It’s largely identical to Sword but with a few other Pokémon here and there. Last week’s chart topper, Modern Warfare is down to fourth this week, not bad considering there are three massive releases ahead of it! FIFA 20 drops to fifth this week as a fairly lacklustre Champions league promo draws to a close, hopefully we get some more solid content soon. Luigi’s Mansion 3 drops just two places to sixth with the Pokémon dual edition sitting in seventh just behind. PlayStation’s big new exclusive Death Stranding is down too eighth this week (review still in progress) with Mario Kart 8 sitting in ninth. Rounding off a Nintendo dominated chart we have Mario and Sonic at the Olympics! Check out the full top 40 below:

There we have it, a banging chart with a top 10 consisting of six Switch exclusives! Let me know your thoughts on this chart down in the comments below, do you agree with the order? Make sure too keep it ShopTo for all the latest gaming news, reviews, competitions and more.

I tried commenting last week, but it lost it. Looks like parents are buying Nintendo games for their kids. If you buy a present you would buy physical over digital, and Nintendo games are ok for all ages. I have not had Switch but Wii and Wii U was a nightmare with digital, you could only use your stuff on one device, and was a palave trasnsferring it to another. Does the switch update their games? I acn not see it if it is on cartridge. If they do not update or much then less reason to go digital, as mostly now all games on PS4 and Xbox need updating and so may as well go digital. I may have enjoyed Pokemon about 20-40 years ago. Death Stranding and may be Fallen Order not suitable for kids. Games charts now really needs to include digital purchases to be accurate.
