The Chromebook 311 from Acer is designed for the education market, with a focus on battery life and durability
Designed for Education
The Chromebook 311 is made to be the perfect classroom device, capable of handling every task that students might need of it.
Running Chrome OS, it offers a simplified, intuitive UI that works perfectly with the 11.6” touchscreen to help students engage with their work by offering a more familiar way to interact with and control their device.
The Intel Celeron CPU and 4GB of RAM ensure that it’s powerful enough to handle a wide variety of workloads, while the 32GB of eMMC storage offers plenty of space to store classwork and projects.
The Chromebook 311 also has integrated Gigabit Wi-Fi to ensure that staying connected isn’t an issue.
Battery life is another major concern and the Chromebook 311 makes the grade easily, lasting up to 12 hours on a single charge - enough to last through the school day with plenty of time left over for homework in the evening.
Accidents happen, especially in classrooms, which is why the Chromebook 311 has been built to survive drops, knocks, spills and other day-to-day mishaps.
Thanks to the ultra-rugged design with integrated bumpers and special drainage points underneath the keyboard, the Chromebook 311 is tested to survive drops of up to 122cm, spills of up to 330ml amongst other things.
All these features combined mean the Chromebook 311 fully complies with MIL-STD 810G standards, which certifies that that it meets the requirements of the US Military in terms of durability.
As well as featuring Acer’s standard 12-month warranty, this model of Chromebook 311 is also covered by the Acer Reliability Promise, which means that if the monitor suffers a warranty fault within the first 12 months, not only will it be repaired for you, you’ll be refunded 100% of the price paid as well.
