One of my favourite games Rocket League has been in the news a fair bit recently after its dev studio Psyonix were bought by none other than Epic Games. It was a big money deal which looked to be a really positive one for the games fan base and not even a month later, we’re already seeing something we haven’t seen before. Seasonal events within Rocket League aren’t new but how about one that last for a whopping 90 days? Now that is something worth getting excited about! This new event titled Radical Summer is set to bring a whole host of new additions to the game including new movie tie in’s, new cars and of course, plenty of cool new cosmetic items too. The event is split into the sections, “Blockbusters” will run from June 10-30, “Culture” from July 1-21 and “Television” from July 22- August 12. Each section will feature different content and several movies are set to feature including Ghostbusters and ET. Also coming are new game modes, finally! The new modes are titled Ghost Hunt, Beach Ball and Spike Rush, all of which look fun and will no doubt spice up the grind of competitive play. Overall then, the Radical Summer event looks set to be pretty awesome! The cosmetics look sweet, the event is long and we will be getting new content to play for every few weeks.
