Description
The King Competition
The King Competition is a user-friendly chess computer for families and chess enthusiasts, combining automatically adjustable playing strength with an LED move display. Its intuitive menu helps players of all ages get started, while a 32 x 32 cm chess board and weighted pieces provide a comfortable playing experience. Alongside classic games, it offers positional analysis, opening training and Chess960.
Playing strength that adapts to you
The chess computer recognises your level of play and automatically adjusts its playing strength, with a range extending from beginner level to over 2500 ELO. This makes it suitable for players with different levels of experience, whether they are learning the game or looking for a stronger challenge.
Automatic adjustment is particularly useful when the board is shared by family members with different abilities, allowing each player to play at an appropriate level.
Clear moves and comfortable play
LEDs in each square show the moves, helping players follow the game and maintain a clear overview of the board. This visual guidance is particularly helpful for beginners as they become familiar with play.
The intuitive menu is designed for straightforward use by players of all ages. The large, stable 32 x 32 cm playing field and weighted pieces support comfortable games for both individual players and families.
- Board size: 32 x 32 cm.
- Pieces: weighted for a comfortable playing experience.
- Move display: LEDs in each square.
- Controls: an intuitive, user-friendly menu.
Classic chess, training and variety
Beyond classic chess games, the computer includes features for studying positions and practising openings. These provide ways to combine regular play with training, while Chess960 adds variety.
- Positional analysis: examine chess positions as part of your training.
- Opening training: practise the opening phase of the game.
- Chess960: an alternative to classic games for varied play.
Optional online play
The optional ChessLink module enables online games against opponents around the world on chess.com and Lichess. This online functionality requires the optional ChessLink module; it is distinct from the chess computer’s classic games and training features.
