EA Play Preview – Livestream, Start Time and Predictions
The first day of E3 is upon us and its none other than EA that will kick things off later today. Whilst EA Play has previously been a bit of a cringe fest, it usually gives us a few things to get excited about and this year looks like no exception. We do already know the running order for the conference (which I will come back to later), but I am expecting plenty more than that as EA have to reveal something new surely! Anyway, you’re going to be seeing a fair few of these preview articles over the next few days as we take a look at what we might get to see from each major conference at E3 2019. We’ve got the start time and an embedded stream so you can come back here later today to watch everything live and check out the content we produce during and after the event. So then, EA Play will be livestreamed below at 5PM UK time this evening:
Before we get into predictions, lets take a look at the handy running order so we can see what EA have confirmed to feature in the conference. Kicking things off will be Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order at 5:30, then Apex Legends at 6, before we get some more Battlefield V news at 6:30. 7 sees the gameplay reveal of FIFA 20 with Madden taking the stage afterwards at 7:30 and The Sims 4 closing the confirmed schedule at 8. It’s a long event and I would expect it to finish even later than that as I’m sure we will get something bigger than The Sims to close things off, but I guess we will have to wait and see. As far as predictions go, I think EA could have a few tricks up their sleeve and as mentioned, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a new IP revealed. I've got no idea what it might be, but I think they will have something new to show off. I'm not sure what we will see of Star Wars, hopefully some gameplay as I know a lot of people, myself included are excited for that game. Apex is all about its Season 2 Battle Pass which is rumoured to include better items, I personally am not to bothered about Apex anymore, the game is pretty much the same as when it launched and the lack of updates has nearly killed the game at this point. Moving on to Battlefield, I’m guessing it will be some more DLC and events but I’m hoping that we might even get a new BF game? perhaps Bad Company 3 to compete with COD this year, who knows! FIFA 20 has been teased recently and there is supposedly a “game changing” new feature, I’m hoping it is actually a big change as the gameplay in FIFA 19 right now is appalling so it would be nice to have something to get excited about. I think it might be some sort of street mode and I have seen a few others that think the same, if this is true it could be huge for the game so I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Finally, im not sure what we will see from The Sims 4, I know EA closed down the studio that made the game and it has received a bit of a hype boost recently so maybe we could be seeing some more DLC, maybe a full free to play version of the game? or perhaps, given that the game has been available for free recently, The Sims 5? If the latter is revealed that would be huge so once again, I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Don’t forget to check back here over the next few days for not only coverage of EA Play, but the whole of E3.
