Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! It’s the start of a busy week for games as there are a load of new releases and a few other bits to note as well! Before we get to all the excitement then, how was your weekend? I spent mine playing a few bits but mostly watching sport as there just isn’t anything to play at the moment! I played some more GTA 5 and a bit of Rocket League as I sit patiently and wait for the COD Beta, Borderlands and FIFA to drop! Moving on then, on the subject of the MW Beta, that all kicks off this Thursday! I can’t believe it’s come around so quick and I’m very, very excited to get playing the game again! Its set to go live at 6PM on Thursday but I reckon they’ll drop it early again so make sure you get pre-loading as soon as its available, keep an eye on our social feed for more on that! We will have coverage of the Beta as well as coverage of Gears 5 tomorrow and Borderlands at the end of the week. We will also be covering the big FIFA news when it’s dropped in the run up to early access release next Friday. We should also be getting some news from other games throughout the week so keep an eye on the Blog for all the latest news!

Discussion Topic: Do Beta’s add value?

Georges Answer: With most games having an online mode these days, Beta’s are becoming even more common and I’m still on the fence about them. Whilst they give fans a chance to play the game early, I feel like they also take away the hype from launch day as you’ve already explored and discovered everything. Its sort of a tradeoff between playing the game early and tarnishing a bit of the experience and I’m still not decided whether I’m for or against them!
